They call me the Tribrid.
I'm the only one of my kind.
rules
RULE 1: No Godmodding. That should be pretty self explanatory, but it has to be said. What my muse does is for me to choose. Obviously there’s a little leeway for certain things, that need more flexibility, but they have to be discussed beforehand if we’re in one of those situations. This is especially important in all action-based threads because momentum is key there and sometimes muses gotta do stuff.RULE 2: Handon Friendly. This is SO important, especially in this fandom. I don’t ship any Hope ships in the show except Handon and Hizzie (which is eh now since they’re a ‘sisterhood’), and I’ve always been anti Hosie. No romantic Hosie. I will not RP it as a ship. Also, I know this is RP land where chemistry is key, but I still won't RP it, and I'm not sorry about it. I will also post Handon everywhere and I'm not sorry for that either. I love them and I can post what I want, but that does not mean I will ship with Landons on sight. It's just my blog aesthetic.RULE 3: OC Friendly. One of my oldest blogs is an OC blog and let me tell you right now: I LOVE OC’s. Be they friends of Hope’s, lovers, other members of the Mikaelson family, etc., I want to RP with them. I have had nothing but pleasant experiences with OC’s in the past, and as long as you’ve got a bio that I can read, just toss them my way. You worked hard on your OC, and I want to interact with them.RULE 4: 18+ RP. Look, this blog can get very dark, and I do RP smut sometimes. That being said, no one under the age of 18 should be interacting. I am 34 years old and I know that age means a lot to people around here. I think it will make us all feel a whole lot better if we stick to this rule. Besides, like I said, this blog can get dark and I don’t want to get in trouble for anything, and vice versa.RULE 5: Chemistry is Key. Hope is a Biromantic/Demisexual. She needs a strong emotional connection to her partner for sex, and while her preference is definitely for men, she is also into girls. As mentioned before, I ship her with crossover ladies and OC’s mostly, (Lizzie in special cases, but no Josie). Chemistry is important for ships, but never be afraid to just throw something shippy at me if you want to try to make a ship. I’m open to it.
RULE 6: I Tag Everything. I only have a couple of triggers, but even so, I try to tag everything. Not just because I have OCD, but because I want all of my partners to be comfortable as well. So if you ever need me to tag something, please do not be afraid to shoot me a message and ask me to tag it. I will always do that for you. No one should feel unsafe or have anxiety over this stuff.RULE 7: Not Spoiler Free. This was more a rule a long time ago when episodes were still coming out. However, I do still post spoilers for things in other fandoms that I put into my other verses. I am usually up to date and I like to post, so just be aware that there will be spoilers around here, but they’ll be tagged so that they can be blacklisted.RULE 8: No Incest. I cannot even begin to tell you how much I do not like incest. It’s an instant trigger for me, and I do not romantically ship Hope with ANY of her family members. Not at all. On top of incest, I will not RP rape or pedophilia, and I am really not a fan of ‘daddy kink’. Those are just big no-no’s, and I don’t want to be a part of any of it. Also, I might block you if I see Holaric stuff on my dash because of you. I try not to block people and just use blacklist the way it's intended, but I cannot stand that ship, and I think it's gross to ship it.RULE 9: I Am Slow. I need to have this as a rule because I have a life. As previously stated, I am 35, and I have a full time job. In fact, I work 6 days a week. Some days I am around and I am quick, but sometimes it takes me awhile because I have real life responsibilities. If I owe something, always tell me, but please don’t hound me about it. I also have health issues, so if I need time, I will try to post a hiatus notice. (Emergencies not counting.)RULE 10: I Love OOC Communication. It isn’t a requirement, but the option is always there, and I promise that I don't bite. I’m Pyro, or Kyla, and my discord is available upon request.RULE 11: Have Fun!! I feel like I have this rule on every single blog, but I feel like it needs to be said. This is a hobby, not a jobby, and everyone should be having fun, not stressing over everything!

ㅤnotable skills:ㅤ Can transform into a werewolf, has the ability to compel vampires, can create hybrids with her blood alone (and they are always sire-bound to her), can be desiccated but it never lasts too long, and she can only be killed by red oak weapons. It should also be noted that becoming a vampire did not result in the loss of her magic.
Born to an Original Vampire, Klaus Mikaelson, and a Werewolf Alpha with the blood of the original werewolves running through her, Hayley Marshall-Kenner, Hope is also a descendant of two truly powerful witches: Esther Mikaelson and the Hollow. The only one of her kind, Hope has always thought of herself as some sort of cosmic mistake, especially given how she entered this world. She was named ‘Hope’ by her father, who took inspiration from his half-brother, Elijah, about her being their family’s hope. When she was little, she was sent away to be raised by her aunt, Rebekah, in order to protect her from her father’s enemies, but eventually she lived with her mother, and her step father, Jackson. A lot happened to her in her life, including being possessed by the Hollow, who wanted to return. As the last in the bloodline, Hope was thought to be the only one to defeat the Hollow, but extenuating circumstances eventually forced her father to kill himself with the Hollow inside of him.Losing her step father when she was a toddler, her mother and her father when she was a teenager, and experiencing the loss of her first and so far only hybrid, Hope is not a stranger to loss. However, everything in her life brought her to Mystic Falls. There, she continued her life as a student at the Salvatore Boarding School, having been enrolled since she was 7 years old, after the first incident with the Hollow.
There, Hope isolated herself mostly, but she worked on her powers and even managed to open up her heart again. Both to friends, and to Landon, of whom she believes is her ‘epic love’. He made her see things in a whole new light, and when it came time to deal with Malivore, Hope made the ultimate sacrifice to potentially die to save the world, and then no one in her life remembered her…even Landon. Luckily, Josie figured out how to give everyone their memories back and Hope was returned to the memories of everyone that she had ever encountered.Things mostly seemed to go back to normal, but even with trapping Malivore and his monsters in a prison world, they keep on coming. Now, life is navigating through trying to start putting herself first, and also figuring out how to make her family proud and keep her found family safe. In the end, defeating Malivore means killing Landon Kirby, the young man that she loves more than anything else in the world. So, Hope becomes the Tribrid, and in accepting her fate and destroying the man she loves, she turns her humanity off, becoming the most powerful creature in the universe, as well as now the most notorious. That time, has made Hope really reflect on the type of person that she would like to be. In the end, she wants to be the person that her family has protected all this time. In the end, she just wants to live.
While Hope has sometimes found herself being a bully herself, she has never gotten over the bullying that she endured in the Salvatore Boarding School. The only people that she had to turn to was her family, and the small scatter of friends that she had made at school and in Mystic Falls. After a long while, she found that the people she could confide in the most was Emma, the school counselor, and Landon Kirby. They know more about her than anyone else outside of her family, and because she has a hard time trusting people, that's probably the way it'll stay for now.Hope tries her best to be the person that her family believes her to be, and she does seem to have a martyr's spirit ingrained in her. She is willing to die for the people that she cares about, and especially for the people that she loves. In all honesty, she also finds herself in the middle of a lot of to the death situations, but she feels like that's just part of her life. Deep down she believes that she is a cosmic mistake, but that doesn't mean that she doesn't want to live her life how her mother wanted her to.She is not without limitations, as she is not an all powerful being. Marcel's venom can make her violently ill, but she isn't part of the original curse, so it won't kill her. Hope is also able to be poisoned with red oak laced weapons and God weapons, but the poison can be siphoned out of her. Vervain has a similar effect on her as it did her father, but because of the fact that she is in fact one of the most powerful beings at her core, it's not something that lasts as long as it does in other vampires.More than anything, Hope Mikaelson is nature's loophole, and she just wants to leave the world a better place than it was when she was born into it.
verses
one.
main verse, open.
It's Called Accountability. Set in its own limbo during and after Legacies, Hope has been through a lot, being the fabled tribrid. She is proudly the girlfriend of a Phoenix (verse dependent for shippy verses), and she believes that nature let her exist for a reason.
two.
alt main verse, open.
The Lucky One. The only difference with the main verse, is that in this one: Cami and Jackson never died (and neither did Hayley or Klaus). Hope grew up with her father, her mother, her stepfather, and Camille. They raised her, she still went to the school, and in most versions of this AU, Jackson being alive meant he saved Hayley, because he absolutely would have. Either way, she grew up with Jackson as her stepfather.
three.
older verse, open.
Aged Like Fine Wine. This is basically an AU of life after Legacies, where Hope hasn’t activated the vampire gene in her teens and makes it into her late twenties/mid thirties. She trains hybrids and still hunts monsters when she needs to. Depending on the partner in the verse, she is or isn’t married to Landon, and does or doesn’t have kids with him. Basically, she'll activate the Tribrid later in life.
four.
stranger things verse, open.
A Great Steven King Aesthetic. Hope is not one of the experiments, like El, but she is someone with powers. She was protected by her parents, who were aware that their child was powerful and different, but didn’t want anything bad to happen to her. Hope can manipulate kinetic energy, but she doesn’t always have a handle on it, so her parents moved to Hawkins hoping that a less stressful environment would keep her hidden. The problem there, being that Hawkins is heavily connected to the Upside Down, which is a place that Hope has been running from since she was a child, influenced by the Mind Flayer and only now aware of the portals and of the other gifted children that were unlucky enough to be experimented on. All Hope knows is that she has to protect the people that she cares about, but lucky for her, that list is small. (She ends up being the same age as Nancy, and grouped with her, Steve and Jonathon, but because of her powers, she can feel the others when they use theirs and are in her vicinity.)
five.
fear street verse, open.
Shadyside Blues. Klaus was from Sunnyvale and Hayley was from Shadyside, and him "slumming it", resulted in her conception. She grew up in Shadyside with her mother, but she knew that she would always be able to go to her father if she needed. So, when she was sent to Camp Nightwing, and it resulted in a massacre and witchcraft, it wasn't something that Hope could just walk away from. Screw the curse...she was going to figure out what was going on and how to stop it... (This is the default verse for ‘Fear Street’, but if you would like interactions for 1994, then I will be using an older FC choice for Hope.)
six.
outer banks verse, open.
Pogues For Life. Hope always knew she was half Pogue and half Kook, only because her parents lived in two different worlds. Her mother and her stepfather, Jackson, lived the Pogue life and raised her in it, but her father was a Kook. Klaus loved his life, and provided for his daughter when she needed things, but she wanted more. So, when there was a treasure hunt to be had, she knew that she wanted to be part of it, no matter what happened...
seven.
school of good and evil verse, open.
Carving My Own Path. Set in the ‘School of Good and Evil’ universe, Hope is the daughter of a famously evil man: Klaus Mikaelson. However, Hope is put into the School of Good, and it throws everyone for a loop. Can the daughter of one of the most evil men that there ever was, truly be in the School of Good? This place doesn’t make mistakes…right?
eight.
wednesday verse, open.
Team Tribrid. Here, Hope ends up at Nevermore, not the Salvatore Boarding School. She’s very out there, and she’s definitely not shy of the whole murder and mystery scene. In fact, she is into it. She is also really invested in mysteries and when Wednesday shows up, it’s a reason to try and have even more fun. Between the Addams and the Mikaelsons, Principal Weems has a lot on her plate...especially when you can't very well put Hope Mikaelson into one category.

ten.
powerless verse, open.
The Life of an Artist. In this verse, Hope has no werewolf, vampire or witch side. She’s completely powerless, and is that artsy, mean girl that most people avoid. She prefers her space, and is planning on owning her own art gallery when she grows up. Mostly she’s a loner, but she’s incredibly protective and totally the mom friend when she opens up. (Because there's no tribrid thing, she will have an older FC.)
eleven.
roswell new mexico verse, open.
Stranger Than Aliens. Basically her Legacies verse, only colliding with Roswell New Mexico. While everyone was so focused on aliens, they ignored that there were vampires, witches and werewolves, keeping themselves hidden from protection. In comes Hope Mikaelson, having gone full Tribrid, feeling like hiding in a place obsessed with aliens would be the perfect way to acclimate to her new life. She had no idea that she was going to meet dopplegangers (Kyle, Max and Jenna anyone), and she didn’t expect to find that there would be actual aliens in the picture. Maybe blending in when the military is around, wasn’t the best idea that she ever had. Her newfound blood lust might just get her in trouble too… (I made this verse in Season 1 of the show, so she is not an Alex/Michael child--do not treat her like one.)
twelve.
teen wolf verse, open.
Behind These Blue Eyes. A true crossover verse, both Legacies and Teen Wolf lore is mashed together. Hope is still a tribrid, but she has blue eyes because of her guilt of triggering the wolf inside of her. The only pack she’s a part of is the Crescents, but she has always felt that the lone wolf life suits her…even if she always pictured herself as an alpha someday.
thirteen.
star wars verse, open.
The Path of the Grey Jedi. Born to a powerful Sith Lord and his force sensitive lover, Hope was raised much like a Sith, even if she wasn’t raised by her Sith father. Her mother wanted her to be able to protect herself as well as feel free to find love if she wanted, and so Hope believes in her passion. She just wishes she could also fight this darkness inside of her.
fourteen.
marvel/dc verse, open.
Rooting For the Anti-Hero. Basically her Legacies verse, only colliding with the comics. In Marvel and DC, witches, werewolves and vampires exist, so the twist is that the comics are real. She’s still a tribrid, just with a little more of the comic restrictions of her ancestors, than the Legacies restrictions.
fifteen.
harry potter verse, open.
Of Cunning and Ambition. Born to a Slytherin (Klaus) and a Gryffindor (Hayley), Hope’s House alignment had been debated before she even got her letter. She showed signs as a child, strong with her magic, and when she was finally sorted, it was into Slytherin like her father before her. She could have chosen Gryffindor--even thought about it--but she is an ambitious and crafty person, and that doesn't make one evil. Potions is her favorite and best class, but she also excels in Defense Against the Dark Arts. Even though black magic is forbidden, she dabbles in it on her own time, and spends a lot of time with her Cruppy. (Her parents are both werewolves, and Hope was bitten as a teenager, so she manages her condition now with wolfsbane.)
sixteen.
gossip girl reboot verse, open.
XOXO Gossip Girl. Spotted: Hope Mikaelson leaving NOLA as a glorified princess, only to find herself in the upper east side. You’re not in Louisiana anymore, little one, and you’re going to find that no amount of money in the world is going to be able to help you bury the past. Get ready for a whole new world of chaos and secrets. XOXO Gossip Girl.
seventeen.
mudbirthed verse, closed.
Don't Let Me Go...Never. Hope Mikaelson and Landon Kirby met by what they thought originally was by accident, but it was purely fate. They didn't realize that their Mystic Grill meeting would be the beginning of their rollercoaster lives, but it was good. The two fell in love, despite the fact that Hope is destined to kill Malivore: Landon's father, who plans to use him as his vessel. It's the Tribrid and the Phoenix against the world, and they're desperate to make sure that they have a future together.
eighteen.
kennheir verse, closed.
We Sisters Two. While Hayley and Jackson were stuck as wolves, Hayley became pregnant with Isabella, and because of a whole slew of different circumstances, eventually Belle came into the world. Hope has always loved her younger sister, and is a little jealous that Belle has a part of Jackson that she could never have. They were his two little girls, and now they have to navigate the world together. The two of them have to deal with Crescent hierarchy and Malivore and his nonsense, but at least they have each other.
nineteen.
littlemissbuffy verse, closed.
Life Gave Me The Gift of You. Buffy had quite the life before she met and fell in love with Klaus Mikaelson, but nothing could have prepared her for the birth of Hayley's and Klaus' daughter, Hope. She became Hope's stepmother, and she loved that little girl like her own. She raised her with love and care, and took over guardianship of her when Klaus and Hayley were gone. Now, the two are navigating the world the only way that they know how: together.
